A small-scale hobby breeder in Comabbio, in the green countryside between Lake Monate and Lake Varese. For 10 years we have bred just a few carefully chosen litters a year: ENCI/FCI pedigree (ENCI = Italian Kennel Club), breeding dogs’ DNA on file, a health record published for every dog and a dedicated feeding plan until adulthood.

Your puppy can travel to Switzerland from 60 days old
We are twenty minutes from the border, and several Swiss families have already taken a puppy from us. In Italy a puppy can go to its new home at 60 days, and up to 12 weeks (84 days) Switzerland does not require rabies vaccination: a microchip, an EU pet passport and a declaration signed by you are enough.
The four principles behind our breeding
A healthy puppy is the result of choices made long before birth: selection, environment, nutrition, and being willing to pick up the phone even three years later.

We breed out of passion, not for volume. Our puppies are born in a dedicated whelping room, heated and monitored, and grow up in the wide green spaces of Comabbio among people, everyday noises and other dogs. They leave only when they are ready, never before 60 days.
Documented health
DNA on file · results in plain sight
Every breeding dog’s DNA profile is on file at Vetogene: it is the only mandatory check for a breeder, and it is done. Hip and elbow scoring is not mandatory: we had it done on Axila, with an A result; not on the other dogs, and their records say so. The certificates that exist can be seen before you choose, not after.

SOELI Puppy is our puppy food: artisanal, made in small batches in Lombardy about 140 km from here. We publish its analytical constituents and full composition, and it is the same food the puppy eats here — so moving home does not mean a change of diet.

We don’t keep puppies permanently available and we don’t breed them to fill a catalogue. Our dams skip seasons when needed and stay with us for life: that is why this section is sometimes empty, and also why it is worth the wait.

The first days, as they really are
Nothing staged: the mother lying down, the puppies feeding, the cool floor of our home. This is how the first weeks go, and they remain the part that matters most for how the dog will grow up. Photos tell half the story; the rest you only see in motion.
The puppies stay with their mother until 60 days. You can see them from day 30, by appointment: you look but don’t touch, because in those weeks every extra contact is a risk not worth taking.

- Where is Soeli located?
- Soeli Allevamento Labrador is in Comabbio, in the province of Varese (Italy), between Lake Varese and Lake Maggiore. We are about 45 minutes by car from Milan, 30 from Como and 20 from the border with the Canton of Ticino. Visits are by appointment.
- Why is it called Soeli?
- The name joins the first letters of the names of Enrico Lanfossi’s two daughters: SO from Sofia, ELI from Elisa. It all began in 2015 with Maggie, a yellow puppy given to Elisa for her birthday: that first family Labrador sparked a passion for the breed, and then the hobby breeding kennel in Comabbio.
- Do the puppies have an ENCI pedigree?
- Yes. All Soeli puppies are registered in the ENCI stud book (ENCI = Italian Kennel Club, a member of the FCI) and the pedigree is included in the price, at no extra cost. When they go home, the puppies are already microchipped, vaccinated and wormed, and come with a veterinary certificate of good health.
- Which health tests do you carry out on your breeding dogs?
- Every breeding dog’s DNA profile is on file at Vetogene, the laboratory designated by ENCI (the Italian Kennel Club): it is the only mandatory check for a breeder, and it is what makes the ancestry on the pedigree verifiable. Official scoring of hips (HD) and elbows (ED) is not mandatory: we had it done on Axila, with an A for the hips, the best grade on the scale. It has not been done on the other breeding dogs, and each dog’s record shows the actual status item by item, genetic tests included. We would rather show a box that says “not done” than a vague claim such as “health-tested parents”.
- At what age can the puppy go home?
- Never before 60 days, as required by Italian law. In practice we let our puppies go between the ninth and tenth week, once they have completed their socialisation with their mother, with the adult dogs and with the people in the household.
- Do you stay in touch with families after the puppy goes home?
- Yes, with no time limit. Every family receives a personalised feeding plan and can contact us on WhatsApp with any questions about growth, weight, training or health.
